Ad types

Graphic Advertising

This is the standard ad formats and follow the (IAB) Internet Advertising Bureau's "Ad Unit Guidelines".

Your ads can be website-wide, city-specific, or in the tenant law section. Most are in the righthand page column where applicable.

Your advertising may be static, or animated, but overly distracting animations are not permitted.

Here are examples of the six sizes of ads, with the preferred sizes being the Leaderboard, 3:1 Rectangle and Big Box.

Leaderboard 728x90 pixels

Wide Skyscraper 160x600 pixels

3:1 Rectangle 300x100 pixels

Square Button 125x125 pixels

Big Box (Medium Rectangle) 300x250 pixels

Half page ad 300x600 pixels

Whole page ads

These advertisements are complete pages customized and professionally optimized to get you results in internet searches. Most of the traffic does not come from the rest of the site, but directly from searches. If you don't have a website, it is an inexpensive alternative until you have one. And if you already have a website this will add to the number of ways your service or product can be found which can be very effective; See the search results for " Ontario tenants rights".

Whole page advertising is meant to be regional and so is only available on the many city subdomains and not on the main www.ontariotenants.ca domain.

For an example of a whole page advertisement see Toronto record store.

Payment is based upon the number of visitors this page or pages get each month, with overage charges for high bandwidth due to large file size graphics. If you don't get any visitors all you pay is a small hosting fee. Anything goes when it comes to page and graphic sizes, and animated flash ads.

One additional condition besides being kid-friendly does apply, that your page(s) do not compete in key words and subject with the themes and keywords of this site (as decided by the Editor,) which includes tenants issues, apartments for rent, apartment living, energy conservation, etcetera.

Minimum monthly charges are waived if this page, or these pages, are in addition to getting other advertising on Ontario Tenants Rights.
